Songkran celebrates the traditional Thai New Year (April 13–15), marking it a time of renewal, purification and respect. It is often celebrated with massive joyful water fights. This is rooted in the Buddhist tradition that symbolizes washing away the past year’s misfortunes and welcome good fortune.
This is a must experience event once in a life time. You can go crazy with water and also be afraid of water when you get out of the hotel. A wet wet experience in Chiang Mai. Guarantee get wet!
I took the ferry from Phuket to Phi Phi island and stayed there for a night.
It took about 2 hours to reach the island but the journey was scenically beautiful.
Upon the arrival of the island, we need to pay 20 Baht entrance fee.
Besides hotels, there are also backpackers, bungalows and lodges in the island.
In the evening, there are fire entertainments near the beach.

I have been to Pattaya a few times. Once, I took a coach from the basement of the airport and reached Pattaya in about 2 hours. Pattaya is a place where you can rest and relax as it is not that congested as compared to the city of Bangkok.
