About Me

I would like to see the wonders of the world. I  have been to about 100 places in 30 countries. IMG_1381

I do not like to travel with tour groups as I find that this is very troublesome. I would rather be a self-guided traveler trying to explore the places I visit and get closer to the locals than a pampered tourist being guided around the popular attractions. I would consider this as an adventure travel of self-discovery. This is also a test of my adaptation and flexibility skills.

As I do not have much money, I am selling those unwanted items and past collections, such as stamps, coins, bags, badges and books in the Internet to earn extra money for my trips. I also have some investments in shares and unit trusts. I used to collect coins and stamps but later found that I do not know what to do with the items and started to sell them in the ebay. I have learned photography before but the cost of having this hobby is too expensive and I have stopped taking pictures a few years ago. I am glad that someone has invented the digital camera .

I was once a volunteer with The Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association (SANA) providing aftercare counselling services to aid recovering drug addicts to recovery and reintegration into the society. This is not easy job. My client was caught taking drugs while working in the shipyard and was sent back to the rehabilitation centre. I have yet to take up another case.

I have learned about morse code when I was in the army. Although I have forgotten about the dits and the dahs, I am proud that I have learned something many people do not know what is it.
